As well as the standard fonts, WebSite X5 makes it easy for you to add and use web fonts available on:

portals such as Google Fonts™ (free): they offer ready-to-use web fonts that just need linking to through the website pages' CSS stylesheets.
portals such as Fontsquirrel: you can download new fonts to your computer, so that they can be published on the website's Internet server.

Web fonts allow you to format texts with different styles that aren't available in safe fonts, and you can be sure that everything on your pages will be displayed correctly, without a particular font being replaced by another.

Click to expand/collapseHow to add a font from Google Fonts

You can search for and install Google Fonts directly from  WebSite X5: this makes the procedure very simple and quick.

If the text font you are working on is not fixed, and you want to change it, open the font selection menu and click on Other font types to open the Web Font window: now click on the Add button.
In the Add web fonts window that opens, use the search, order and preview tools in the Google Font section to find the font you want to add.
Click on OK to confirm.

When you have finished this simple procedure, the new font will be automatically proposed by WebSite X5 in all the places where it is possible to apply a font to a text: the Google fonts can be recognized in the selection menu because they have the icon next to them.

Click to expand/collapseHow to add an offline web font

Once you have downloaded a new font, with the necessary files to use it on your computer or on the Internet (see How to download a font from Fontsquirrel), you'll find it's very easy to use it in WebSite X5:

If the text font you are working on is not fixed, and you want to change it, open the font selection menu and click on Other font types to open the Web Font window: now click on the Add button.
In the Add web fonts that opens,  go to the Web Font section, choose to add an offline Web Font and import the TTF File for offline display.
Although it is not obligatory, the font will be supported better on the various browsers if you also import the WOFF, SVG and EOT files (if they're available) for the new font you want to use.
Click on OK to confirm.

After you have added a new web font, it will appear automatically in all the menus that allow you to select a font for a text. Offline web fonts can be easily recognized in the menus because they have the icon next to them.
