While working on a website, all the files which have been imported (except the online ones) are automatically inserted in the Project Library. This brings 2 important benefits:

1. you won't lose the resources used during the project development;
2. you can easily find in the Library the files you've already used on your Project.

Of course, the more files you import, the bigger the Library and consequently the Project get. To avoid the Project size to increase too much, you can optimize it by removing the resources which are no longer linked to the Project but still available on the Library: for instance, file had previously imported and later removed and which therefore are no longer used on the website.

In this window you can then start or update the Project analysis and display some summary data. You can then use the available commands to export the resources and delete those which aren't linked to the project anymore.

Click to expand/collapseReference: Display statistical data

After you saved the project at least once, the first time you open the Project Optimization window, the analysis will automatically be carried out. Then, to display the updated data, you can manually start te Project analysis by clicking on Start. After the analysis is complete, you will find these data on the column diplayed on the left, next to the window:

Project optimization: the project optimization rate which has been reached.

Project size: the size of the Project file (namely the .iwzip file).

Linked resources: the overall size of all the resources currently used on the Project.

Resources linked to the Backups: the overall size of all the files which are no longer used on the Project, but which are still linked to the backup copies of the Project itself.

Not linked resources: the overall size of all the resources which are no longer used on the Project.

On the central section of the window you will find the necessary commands to proceed with the Project optimization:

Export the project resources: this option is useful to create a backup copy of the filed used to create your Project. From the drop down list, choose the files you want to exporty:
All Library resources: if you want to make a backup copy of all the resources you used on the Project or if you want to re-use them for another Project.
Only resources that are linked to the project: if you want to make a backup copy of the resources which are actually used on the Project, except the ones which aren't linked anymore.
Only resources that aren't linked to the project: if you want to make a backup copy of the resources which aren't used on the Project, possibly to delete them.

Report the Destination Folder to proceed with the export on the path you chose to save the exported files.

The files are exported on the specified Destination Folder, and, in order to keep them organized by type, you will find them in specific subfolders: Images, Videos, Fonts, Documents (such as pdf) and Others.

Delete the resources that aren't linked to the project: this option is useful if you want to delete the files reported on the Library which are no longer used on the Project. In this way, you will be able to reduce the project file size as well as the size of the relative backup copies.

You can't start the analysis until you save the Project at least once.

If you make some changes, you then need to update the analysis results by selecting the Start button.
